Aftermarket Product Development Engineer

For our location in Izmir / Turkey we are offering a job opportunity as “Product Development Engineer” for Aftermarket Product Development.

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant engineering disciplines. 

• At least two years of 3D design experience with CATIA V5. 

• At least one year experience, preferably experience with designing chassis components in automotive industry. 

• Basic knowledge of design requirements for products made of steel, aluminum and rubber materials. 

• Basic knowledge of manufacturing and assembling technologies. 

• Technical background with a strong understanding of mechanical or automotive engineering. 

• Preferably, knowledge in steering, braking, chassis or engine system in automotive industry or other relevant mechanical and hydraulic applications. 

• Well structured, organized, efficient and accurate working method. 

• Adaptive to efficient teamwork. 

• Fluency in English (written & spoken) & German is a plus. 

• No restriction for travelling & living abroad.

• No restriction for military service.

Responsibilities:

• Work and cooperate with an international project team and other R&D and testing locations of ZF worldwide. 

• Develop a wide range of chassis components; suspension ball joints, tie rods, stabilizer links, control arms, rubber bushings. 

• Preparation/organization of detailed design studies, product specifications/drawings, simulation and calculation. 

• Project Management with the customer specific APQP needs. 

• Create test specifications.
