Global olarak yakla\u015f\u0131k y\u00fczde 17&rsquo;lik pazar pay\u0131na sahip olan \u015firket, 40 \u00fclkedeki 47 fabrikas\u0131yla yakla\u015f\u0131k 54 bin ki\u015fiye istihdam sa\u011fl\u0131yor. BAT T\u00fcrkiye, 6 y\u0131l \u00f6nce kuruldu. T\u00fcrkiye&rsquo;deki Merkezi \u0130stanbul&rsquo;da olan ve faaliyetlerine 2002 y\u0131l\u0131nda \u0130zmir&rsquo;in Tire il\u00e7esinde d\u00fcnya standartlar\u0131ndaki fabrikas\u0131yla ba\u015flayan BAT, T\u00fcrkiye pazar\u0131na Kent, Vogue, Pall Mall ve Viceroy markalar\u0131n\u0131 sunuyordu.&nbsp;24 Haziran 2008 tarihinde, \u00d6zelle\u015ftirme \u0130daresi Ba\u015fkanl\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve BAT T\u00fcrkiye aras\u0131nda yap\u0131lan imza t\u00f6reni ile T\u00fcrkiye Cumhuriyeti tarihinin 5. b\u00fcy\u00fck \u00f6zelle\u015ftirmesi olan Tekel-BAT birle\u015fmesi tamamland\u0131. B\u00f6ylelikle British American Tobacco T\u00fcrkiye, Tekel t\u00fct\u00fcn mamulleri olan Tekel 2000, Tekel 2001, Samsun 216, Maltepe, Bahar, Yeni Harman, Meltem sigaralar\u0131n\u0131 da t\u00fcketiciye sunmaya ba\u015flad\u0131. 2002 y\u0131l\u0131ndan bu yana T\u00fcrkiye&rsquo;de toplam 350 milyon ABD dolar\u0131n\u0131n \u00fczerinde yat\u0131r\u0131m yapan \u015firket, 2 binin \u00fczerinde \u00e7al\u0131\u015fana i\u015f olana\u011f\u0131 sa\u011fl\u0131yor. Tekel \u00f6zelle\u015ftirmesi ile birlikte,y\u00fczde 36&rsquo;l\u0131k pazar pay\u0131na ula\u015farak T\u00fcrkiye&rsquo;nin en b\u00fcy\u00fck 2&rsquo;nci h\u0131zl\u0131 t\u00fcketim \u015firketi konumuna sahip olduk. \u0130ki devin birle\u015fmesi gibi zor bir s\u00fcreci, ayn\u0131 hedefe do\u011fru sorumluluk, \u00f6zveri ve y\u00fcksek motivasyonla \u00e7al\u0131\u015fan yetenekli ekibimizin g\u00fcc\u00fc ve etkili bir planlama sayesinde ba\u015far\u0131yla y\u00fcr\u00fctt\u00fck. \u00d6zelle\u015ftirme s\u00fcrecini etkili bir \u015fekilde y\u00f6netebilmek i\u00e7in fazlar halinde a\u015famal\u0131 bir entegrasyon plan\u0131 yapt\u0131k. 22 \u015eubat, ihaleyi teknik olarak kazand\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z ve entegrasyon s\u00fcrecine tam anlam\u0131yla ba\u015flad\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z tarih ama bizim haz\u0131rl\u0131klar\u0131m\u0131z \u00e7ok daha \u00f6nceden ba\u015flam\u0131\u015ft\u0131.
