The Tooling Section Manager is a key member of our Sales & Purchasing team in TBEU-Adapazari Branch located in Sakarya.
TBEU-Ap manages all Sales & Purchasing function pertaining to Toyota Boshoku Turkey’s manufacturing activities and Pan-European TB activities for tooling related issues.
The Tooling Manager performs two key functions in support of S&P team: s/he serves as the commercial lead for tooling related to cost & price issues and s/he provides expertise to the S&P, PE Production engineering team when existing tooling requires optimization. These activities require working closely with peers in Sales, Supplier Project Management, Buyer, Quality,Production Engineering and TB’s suppliers to understand critical quality attributes of tools for new parts, and understand past performance for existing tools.
Armed with this knowledge the Tooling Engineer then works with suppliers and toolmakers to lead design reviews and drive design-for-manufacturability. The tooling manager is primarily responsible for:
a) Visualizing/Monitoring of tooling cost target achievement status
b) Supporting buyer team for achievement of optimum tooling cost
c) Supporting SPM & PE team for solving tooling related issues
d) Supporting Sales team for price negotiation of tooling with Customer 
e) Ensuring tooling reliability over the tool’s life; and supporting SPM for  optimized tool build time.

 The tooling manager is also responsible for schedule and budget adherence from tool kick-off to first sampling.

Skills / Competencies
Must:
·        Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
·        Working knowledge of MS Office
·        Ability to travel domestically/internationally 
·        Engineering degree ( preferably Mechanical )
·        Very good command of English
·        Deep technical & commercial knowledge on plastics and/or stamping tools & manufacturing process
 
Preferred:
·        SAP experience is very much preferred
·        Work experience at a tool maker is highly preferred.
·        Knowledge of machining of cast iron and aluminum.
·        Experience with Japanese suppliers or OEM
