Business Developer / Senior Business Developer

Assignments:

Business Development:

1. Understands commercial and contractual requirements on renewable energy business in Turkey and pursues new business/market development opportunities
2. Conducts regular market intelligence activities, screening sector-related transactions, prepares monthly reports, and supports the preparation of executive board committee papers
3. Maintains existing and develops new relationships with local/foreign clients and keeps client list up to date for RES’ project portfolio and services
4. Prepares project-based marketing documents (executive summary, info memos, etc.)
5. Works on Asset Management and PPA strategy & business plan with Business Development Manager
6. Does market research on PPA opportunities in Turkey and approaches new clients for Asset Management & PPA business
7. Follows the general and specific legal framework related to the renewable energy market
8. Supports project development team in wind & solar projects tender application processes
9. Works with technical and engineering teams to understand the best-specialized options currently available for the Turkish market and align technical and commercial timelines
10. Maintains a watching brief on opportunities to implement new technologies in the Turkish market, such as energy storage, green hydrogen, etc.
11. Fulfills the duties and services provided along with any further responsibilities to be entrusted to by the decision of the Representative of the Employer, the General Management of the Company or by any of first-line superiors and to perform all duties expected of the position with the due diligence and skill required of a person in such a position and to participate in training allocated

Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A):

1. Supports building deal structures for the sale of the projects
2. Manages communication with clients during NDA, non-binding/binding offers, due diligence, and SPA processes
3. Maintains project data rooms with assistance from the internal resources
4. Supports the legal team in preparation of Share Purchase Agreements, Shareholders’ Agreement, and Development Service Agreements
5. Supports preparation of SPA-related documents and signing, closing, and registration and license amendment arrangements

Finance:

1. Supports working on economic models, feasibility studies, IRR and NPV calculations, and LCOE excel sheets
2. Works with project development and engineering teams to keep cost inputs/assumptions updated

Requested skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Management Studies from reputable universities
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar position
• Knowledge/experience in energy trading & bilateral agreements is a plus,
• Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) experience is a plus
• Excellent command of English both in written and spoken
• Strong knowledge of MS Office applications
• Good reporting and presentation skills
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to demonstrate technical proficiency, attention to details, solution provider, good planning
• Active driving skills and driving license (B) (preferably)
