Delta Group has entered the oil industry in 1984 under Delta Petrol with its floating storage facility in Iskenderun. Subsequently, the company has bu ilt and operated its first oil storage terminal in Ceyhan, Turkey.

In the beginning, 2012, Delta Petrol has merged with Rubis Terminal, one of the leading independent storage companies of Europe, meanwhile one of the biggest companies in France. Rubis Terminal owns and operates 12 terminals throughout Europe and is amongst the top 3 largest European Storage Companies. Rubis Terminal is part of the Rubis Group, one of the prominent players in the European energy industry and is also a publicly listed company in France. Besides its storage operations under Rubis Terminal, the Group also has oil and LPG distribution business under Rubis Energie.

With the merger, the name of the company is changed to Delta Rubis. With its strong position, Delta Rubis is the largest independent oil storage player of the Black Sea and Mediterranean regions.
