From manufacturer of carbon based products 70 years ago, to becoming the world's leading supplier of expandable and semi-continuous measuring probes and instrumentation for molten metal control, Heraeus Electro-Nite has established an unrivalled reputation for quality and innovation.

Based in Philadelphia USA, in the 1960's, Electro-Nite Co. initiated development of a range of thermocouples and thermal analysis devices that rapidly became the standard for molten metal temperature and chemical composition measurements in steel and foundry industries. Expansion continued with the opening of a number of additional manufacturing and sales offices worldwide and the introduction of a complete range of in situ probes and systems for the measurement of physical properties in molten metal.

Incorporation, in 1988, with the Heraeus Group, a German based "Top 100" company, resulted in a consolidation of its global activities. For 150 years, the Heraeus technological group has retained a reputation for quality and innovation. Almost 10,000 employees worldwide develop, produce and sell high-tech products for industry, research and medicine.

Heraeus Electro-Nite currently employees more than 2,000 people in over 20 subsidiaries and affiliates. Headquarters are in Houthalen, Belgium. Turkish subsidiary is located in Ankara.
