MGL controls the worldwide merchandise flows of the METRO Group companies and is responsible for the smooth transportation and distribution of more than 1.2 million packaging units every day to the more than 2,400 stores of the METRO Group in 30 countries.

The company has a headcount of some 270,000 employees and operates about 2,400 outlets in 31 countries. MGL METRO Group Logistics is the provider of logistics services for all companies of the METRO Group. MGL operates subsidiaries in 21 countries with a workforce of around 3,700 employees in Germany and 250 abroad. In its function as the logistic services and competence center, MGL controls the merchandize flows via standardized supply channels according to the supply channel portfolios established in the individual countries, the local setup as well as the assortment and service requirements of the METRO Group sales brands.
