Retina Elastic Transmuxer 

Elastic transmuxer can stream videos in various formats like RTMP, HLS or DASH enabling adaptive streaming where necessary. System works over clusters optimizing load and latency using proprietary algorithms, caching efficiently using various parameters. It’s been proven to persist large amounts of throughput, pushing capacity limits.

Retina Elastic Transcoding

Video sources whether it may be a professional grade IP camera or some images from a years-old feature-phone, cannot possibly generate the required formats for rapidly changing client devices. Our transcoding system is capable of generating vast amount of different formats while being trivial to implement any new ones. It can also do keyframe synchronization, thumbnail/storyboard generation, audio fingerprinting or various types of video filtering.

Retina Software Defined Storage

We create storage solutions based on open-source technologies with server/rack/dc aware data redundancy, self-healing capabilities and S3 compliant HTTP based or application specific interfaces. Our monitoring and management tool chain keeps track of things from the lowest level hardware metrics to high-level API counters, and is able to provide dashboards and alerting according to needs.

Retina Batch and Streaming Data Analytics 

Vortex is our big-data analytics platform for batch and streaming analytics, utilizing hadoop, hbase, kafka, storm and several others for time-series analysis and business metric reports. Dashboards and alerting capabilities are provided with grafana integration. It also has connectors for spreadsheets or other tools like R/pandas for further study.
