The Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey is a non-partisan, non-profit think tank based in Ankara, Turkey. TEPAV was established in 2004 as an independent research institute and is today Turkey’s largest economic policy think-tank, employing over 50 highly talented researchers and experts. The TEPAV team combines academic and policy expertise with strategy consultancy skills.
Our mission is to develop innovative policy strategies for private sector development in Turkey and the region. Our interdisciplinary approach focuses on fostering a competitive business environment, improving regional development within Turkey and supporting international economic integration.
TEPAV relies on the professionalism and analytical expertise of its in-house staff to provide data-driven policy recommendations for its governmental and private sector clients. We promote the exchange of knowledge and experience between key actors in order to broaden the public debate on important policy decisions.
TEPAV’s in-house staff brings together different perspectives to give decision-makers a basis of policy options. Our work is therefore based on the models of the social sciences, but is not academic in nature. Rather than creating knowledge, we apply academic principles towards solving policy goals. As such, working at TEPAV requires meeting short response times, collaborating with people with different perspectives, and putting the institution before your academic ego. TEPAV brings together highly skilled individuals with a dedication to improve public policies in Turkey and its region.

We are looking for people with the following characteristics:
• Intellectual curiosity on current economic and social affairs
• Excellent social and writing skills, both in English and Turkish
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, esp. PowerPoint and Excel
• A self-starter, highly motivated to take the initiative and develop new ideas / projects, open to absorb different models of knowledge and activities.
• Very adaptable, able to get involved in multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Able to maintain flexible working hours, including national and international travel, often to locations in developing countries.
•Thrive in a fast-paced and fun environment, have a sense of humor and ability to multitask
•Professional demeanor, including ability to represent TEPAV in a range of settings
