Commissioning Engineer (Robotics)

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will oversee commissioning in projects with low to medium complexity. You will ensure that commissioning activities are completed efficiently and cost-effectively, in accordance with specifications, standards, and safety requirements. In this role you will assist and coordinate installation activities with the Installation Supervisor/Site Manager, as well as implementing design changes and marking up project documentation. 

Your responsibilities 

Reporting to the Commissioning Team Leader, the key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

• Simulation and control of cells, designed tools and equipment's, 
• Giving feedbacks mechanical design teams, 
• Following manufacturing, assembly and start-up phases of designed equipments to ensure quality and functionality,
• Leading on-site commissioning and verifying virtual simulations, 
• Preparing documentations for ABB standards, 
• Supporting R&D projects and developing new robotic cells,
• Represent ABB during site visits, communicating at all levels to ensure customer satisfaction, 
• Assist sales people during customer visits when necessary, 
• Assist bid and proposal teams, Coordination of corrective and preventive actions,
• Following and finalizing the commissioning processes according to the project plan Follow-up and solve the problems and transfer of lessons learned to the project department to prevent disruption of commissioning processes by ensuring coordination with other departments, 
• Carrying out commissioning studies by actively accompanying the project. 

Your background

• University degree in Engineering degree (Mechatronic, Mechanical or Metallurgy and Materials), 
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Robotics,welding, fixture and commissionining processes, 
• Knowledge of industrial robot operations,
• Have knowledge about automotive vehicle geometry and to be able to adjust actively, 
• Preferably have process knowledge in one or more disciplines such as welding, material handling, paint, press automation, picking/packing/palletizing, camera applications etc. is a plus, 
• Preferably Certified Welding Engineer (EWE,IWE),
• Experience in ABB Robots is a definite plus, 
• Experience in offline robot programming and simulation packages (RobotStudio) is a plus, 
• Advanced level of English skills,
• Innovative, team player and highly motivated profile with strong interpersonal skills, 
• No limitation for travel and working in customer site.
