Contributes to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in their assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a safety-focused culture. Supports the business by applying in-depth HSE & security knowledge and offering solutions and advice. Ensures effective risk management through HSE excellence along the ABB Motion. The work model for the role is: onsite.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Facilitating HSE risk assessment conducted by the line management and ensuring all necessary preventive measures against the identified hazards are implemented.
• Reporting HSE incidents to the management and relevant stakeholders and taking appropriate actions.
• Facilitating, assisting, and providing guidance on incident investigations to learn better ways for mitigating risks.
• Providing feedback to the management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from within their own unit and across ABB.
• Tracking all HSE-related legal permits and licenses, ensuring timely renewal, and reporting status updates to the Country HSE Manager.
• Supporting Business Area PiP and Division Managers in reporting progress with respect to the implementation of the group-level HSE objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as required.
• Assisting the line managers and supervisors in understanding their obligations, liabilities, and requirements for role fulfillment, as per local HSE laws and group/business-specific requirements.
• Supporting and facilitating behavioral change through the local implementation of group-wide and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices.
• Supporting and embedding an exemplary health and safety culture with a strong emphasis on the environment across the country organization.
• Ensuring that the appropriate HSE-related equipment and tools are available and used effectively.
• Contributing to and/or planning and executing HSE-related projects.
• Developing project objectives and reporting the progress to management.
