Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Istanbul for a Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Analyst. The primary responsibilities include conducting industry and market research to identify potential investment opportunities and strategies, performing financial modeling and valuation analysis, preparing transaction documentation, and supporting the team in deal execution. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and effective communication with clients will also be key aspects of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and evaluate potential M&A and investment opportunities through targeted outreach, networking, and relationship-building.
- Build and maintain robust financial models, including M&A valuation models,DCF analyses,project valuation,capital markets analyses, and transaction comparables.
- Support the execution of acquisitions and strategic minority investments by leading market landscape assessments, performing financial and valuation analyses, and building robust financial models in coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Organize and manage due diligence processes(pre–term sheet, post–term sheet, and sign-to-close), including data rooms, review of diligence materials, and management of the Q&A process.
- Prepare and maintain deal documentation and deliverables, ensuring outputs are executive-ready and aligned with internal standards.
- Track and manage deal pipeline activity, including maintaining databases, logging interactions, and updating deal status reports.
- Develop lists of potential buyers/investors, manage written and verbal communication, and conduct outbound calls as needed.
- Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders and provide timely deal updates throughout the execution process.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong financial and analytical capability, including advanced skills in building operationally grounded financial models and a solid understanding of accounting and key performance metrics.
- Proven ability to develop clear, executive-ready presentations that translate complex analyses into actionable insights.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with the full M&A lifecycle, from sourcing through closing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in corporate M&A, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or corporate finance.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, scenario/sensitivity analysis, and data analysis).
- High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word for client- and internal-facing materials.
- Availability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Fluency in Turkish and English.
