Senior Project Manager

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Ankara team to manage customer projects in defense and other sectors.

 Primary responsibilities: 

 • Responsible for project management, performance and completion of tasks and delivery orders. 

 • Establishes and monitors project plans and schedules and has full authority to allocate resources to insure that the established and agreed upon plans and schedules are met. 

 • Manages costs, technical work, project risks, quality, and corporate performance. Manages the development of designs and prototypes, test and acceptance criteria, and implementation plans. 

 • Establishes and maintains contact with Purchaser, Subcontractors, and project team members.

 • Provides administrative oversight, handles contractual matters and serves as a liaison between the Purchaser and corporate management.

 • Ensures that all activities conform to the terms and conditions of the Contract and Work Package procedures. 

 To provide more background, we would expect that successful candidate: 

•  Takes time out to reflect on the direction of the project(s) and recommend feasible improvements, taking into account lessons learnt and current trends; 
• Influences key stakeholders to agree in-flight changes to project approach (where necessary), utilising best practices and/or Atos standards; 
• Is able to lead medium size (10-30 staff -Atos team), multi-site/disciplined project team, where Atos is acting as prime to sub- contractors and where the technology/solution to be delivered is mature but may include aspects outside of own domain expertise; 
• Encourages everyone to feel that they belong and can add value; actively coaches others, to obtain a better understanding of their strengths, weaknesses, interests and ambitions; creates team spirit and a supportive environment;

• Leverages Atos tools and processes in multi-project environments, whilst reconciling multiple cost/revenue streams; engages stakeholders and combines Atos or client-defined methodology, tools & processes to minimize duplication and maintain effectiveness; 
• Manages seamless handover of the project outputs that are accepted by the client and/or standing Atos organization, including proposal for reallocation of staff and disposal of assets not included in handover;
• Adapts to changing circumstances, adopting different roles according where appropriate to fit with a new (customer) environment; experiments with new ways of doing things and takes a positive approach to change. 

•  Master’s degree in management, engineering, or business administration. Formal certification through Project Management Institute or equivalent source.
•  Fluent in English and Turkish.
•  At least seven years in information systems design and project management.
• No restriction to travel abroad (required several times in a year, 1-3 weeks each) 
• Valid security clearances already taken from MoFA and MoND are preferred.

•  Proficient with Service Level Agreements :The purpose and composition of a service level agreement (SLA); the relationship between an SLA and a contract for the supply of services. 
• Proficient in Report Writing Techniques :Methods and techniques for writing effective reports. 
• Proficient in Business Characteristics: The functional structure of businesses and other organisations; their mission, objectives, strategies and critical success factors.
• Familiar in Business Analysis Techniques: Techniques which help in modelling and understanding a business and its operation. 
• Familiar in Software Configuration and Release Management: The control and management of ICT assets (or configuration items) including hardware, software, documentation, services, suppliers and network facilities by the use and application of strict change management and recording. 
• Familiar with Customer Value Chain Concepts: The complete sequence of activities within a process, from receipt of an order or request to delivery of a product or service. 
• Familiar with Quality Management :he system or method for the management of quality within the employing organisation. 

•  Analytical Thinking: Acquiring understanding of a problem or situation by breaking it down systematically into its component parts and identifying the relationships between these parts. 
• Planning and Organisation :Determining a course of action by breaking it down into smaller steps and by planning and resourcing each of these, making allowance for potential problems.
•  Leadership :Identifying goals and objectives, and motivating and leading others towards their achievement.
• Providing Direction :Directing others to undertake tasks. 
• Follow-up and Monitoring : Checking progress against targets, reporting as necessary and taking action to resolve exceptions. 
• Strong Communication and interpersonal skills - able to represent Atos technically both externally and internally
• Good communication skills, strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills 
• Confident, proactive, with the ability to work in a dynamic environment
