Aviagen is the world’s leading poultry science company, developing pedigree lines for the production of broiler chickens and turkeys. The company is based near Edinburgh, UK and in Huntsville, USA with a number of wholly owned operations around the world including Aviagen Anadolu in Turkey.

Based in Ankara, Turkey, and reporting to the Compartmentalisation Implementation manager of Aviagen Anadolu, a vacancy has arisen for a Quality Assurance supervisor who will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining quality management systems and procedures within GP Farming operations, feed decontamination unit and hatcheries.

This role is responsible for providing leadership on the development and implementation of a formal quality system and to ensure best practices such as HACCP and ISO 9001 standards are used as a basis for process development. Reviewing and updating quality manuals and procedures, arranging internal and external audits, managing follow up activities and closing follow up activities are key parts to this role. Whilst documentation is key for this role, significant time will be spent in facilities ensuring adherence to the standards and facilitating training as required.

The ideal candidate should possess poultry production management experience. A higher level qualification in agricultural or veterinary sciences is considered essential, as is experience maintaining documentation and implementing procedures. The ideal candidate would have industry experience as a lead assessor/internal auditor and experience in Quality Management systems.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and be capable of working on their own initiative. The candidate must also be fluent in English and Turkish and will be expected to produce regular reports and present in English & Turkish.

Given the specialist nature but broad reaching remit of this role, training will be provided where necessary for the successful candidate.
