Legal Manager

OBJECTIVE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the legal department of Banvit, Turkey’s preferred poultry producer, listed in the Istanbul Stock Exchange and subject to the highest standards of integrity, quality and governance
• Responsible for all legal matters related to five legal entities of Banvit in Turkey, Romania, Netherlands and UAE
• Acting as trusted advisor to Banvit’s senior management
• Setting internal governance policies and manage the impact of external factors
• Attract, develop, direct, motivate and drive performance from team
  
• Develop and lead corporate legal strategy to promote and protect the company's interest
• Monitor legal budget
• Lead legal projects (personal data protection, competition & antitrust, employment law etc.) 
  
• Coordinate and control external legal resources
  

• Manage legal disputes and litigation 

• Manage the priorities and pressing issues to meet the deadlines and commitments to internal clients
• Acting as Company Secretary of Banvit (general assembly meetings and Board of Directors meetings)

• Ensure that Banvit’s intellectual property is protected

• Provide legal trainings to Banvit business units
• Contract review and contract management as per BRF Contracts Norm (Supply of Raw Materials, Supply of Services, Supply of Equipment, Agro, Sales of Products etc.)
• Support BRF Merger & Acquisition Area during Mergers & Acquisitions in Turkey and Romania 
• Advice on corporate projects of Banvit

 REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Law School Degree from a top tier University
• Qualified legal practitioner admitted to practice law 
• Fluent in English and Turkish
  

• 10+ years of experience in corporate legal. In-house and food industry experience are desired
