QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

 

·         At least 2 to 5 years of user research experience for professional desktop software, mobile app or web products. E-commerce is a plus.

·         Demonstrated fluency in a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative usability techniques. (e.g. lab studies, 5-second tests, paper-prototyping, card sorting, design reviews, heuristic evaluations, design mapping, task analysis, site visits, surveys)

·         Experience testing mobile applications is a plus

·         Knowledge of relevant design & rapid prototyping tools such as Sketch App, Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, etc.

·         Experience with in-lab and remote, user research tools (e.g., lookback, User zoom).

·         You are comfortable planning, scoping, conducting, analyzing and communicating research

·         You are familiar with quantitative research methods, comfortable with metrics and A/B tests, and are able to synthesize quantitative data with qualitative user research

·         You are a great storyteller and communicator, able to speak fluently to business people, designers, engineers and other stakeholders

·         You are a dedicated advocate of a user-centred approach to product development

·         You enjoy collaborative work in a dynamic, data-driven, creative environment.

·         You can produce and enhance low-fidelity sketches and medium fidelity wireframes to facilitate communication of a recommended solution.

 

What You will do

 

·         Partner with user interface designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify research needs.

·         Define, plan, and conduct user research

·         Deliver compelling insights to the product and design teams

·         Facilitate evidence-based product and design decisions

·         Develop and innovate on our mixed-methods user research practic

·         Contribute to company-wide research strategy

·         Evangelize Research findings to stakeholders through written reports and oral presentations

·         Develop plans for user research activities across the product lifecycle from early stage design and product definition activities to post-release assessment.

·         You can translate research findings into interaction designs that provide usable, effective and efficient experiences to users

·         Experience planning lab and field research strategy aligned with product planning, design, marketing, and development cycles

·         Strong statistical analysis skills and familiarity with statistical packages used for analysis.
