Safety Manager- Thrace Plant

Main Accountabilities

• Supports  Safety  measures through defining, implementation, and monitoring of legal compliance
• Reporting safety performance to both inside of plant and outside of plant in Bunge.
• Maintain  the documentation for Safety system (e.g. ISO) and Europe & Asia Safety Management System
• Analyze and support the Job Hazards Analysis, Ensure the compliance of Safety Legal requirements
• Analyze the Safety Training needs and support delivery
• Follow up of Global Risk Consulting (GRC) inspections (fire, Boiler &machinery  infrared). 
• Follow up of Extraction Process Safety audits
• Participate and develop the Safety Cross Audits
• Develop Contractors management and contractors audits
• Support and follow up on Industrial regulations
• Handle firefighting systems
• Develop Safety CAPEX
• Develop Safety Indicators
• Develop and implement safety innovations and new safety Initiatives, which can strengthen local safety culture.

The position will lead 1 direct subordinate and will report to the Thrace Plant Manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• University degree preferably in engineering area
• Minimum 3-5 years of management experience in safety and environmental systems implementation, in the production facility of international organization.
• Having at least B class Safety Specialist certificate
• Having information regarding ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 22000 and ISO 14001 will be a plus (Experience in Safety Management System)
• Knowledge about occupational risk assessment methodologies and techniques, safety culture and modern safety.
• Good command of both written and spoken Turkish and English
• Very good knowledge of MS Office applications
• Project Management experience or certification represents an advantage
• Safety certification in fire safety is a plus
• Ability to work in a team and strong interpersonal skills,
• Problem solving skills, planning and organization as well as analytical thinking capability.
• Result oriented, ability to make decisions and influence others.
