MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of  5 years of related work experience in industrial electrical & automation for design, specification of such installations 
• Experience of applicable national and international (European) norms and regulations  Experience with electrical-Instrumentation and automation systems of European key suppliers (philosophy, architecture, components, etc)
• Having knowledge of Process Control equipment’s, HV and LV electrical equipment’s, electrical system design, commissioning and start up
• Having knowledge of Siemens PCS7 programming and control

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

• Intermediate project management skills
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Demonstrated working knowledge of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.

Job Purpose and Impact
The Automation Engineer helps to design, develop and maintain electrical control systems and/or components to required specifications, focusing on economy, safety, reliability, quality and sustainability. Do you enjoy researching, developing, designing and testing? In this role, you do all that with our equipment, software systems, and networks.
Key Accountabilities

• Leading preparation, approval and execution of the automation part of investment projects, to manage and/or coordinate the A&I engineering and -partially construction activities and to support in start-ups in cooperation with other technical departments by taking into account all relevant Cargill rules and local regulations
• Design of automation hardware structure by using Cargill procedure and best practices
• Coordinates pricing, estimating and scoping for project design & construction.
• Accountable for all key design documents such as System architecture layout, Functional design specification and software design specification etc.
• Lead the execution of a project and manage the authorized budget, schedule and deliver the project according scope and quality.
• Analyzes reports, maps, and drawings, blueprints to plan and design project.
• Prepares or directs preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, implementation schedules and designs for project.
• Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
• Ensure that projects are prepared in line with Cargill Best Practices, policies, guidelines, national and international norms and standards.
• Ensure that projects are executed in line with Cargill Best Practices, policies, guidelines, national and international norms and standards. 
• System design work considering safety, food safety, quality, capacity, reliability, environment, and costs, project scope development, bid package development and contract negotiations, equipment and instrumentation selection, installation, contractor management, commissioning and startup as well as development and adherence to project budget and schedule for multiple capital projects on a plant-wide basis.
• Involve in CAPEX and large scale investment projects and manage automation of these projects
• Improve/update automation and PLC software’s
• Plan and test disaster recovery plan of plant automation system
