Job Purpose and Impact

The Formulator will formulate product according to agreed product matrix. In this role, you will use formulation software for all production runs in the factory and balance efficiently the technical constraints, cost of formulation and raw material use according to supply plan. In this role, you will provide the production plant with all relevant data and support the production facilities with all product database related subjects like bill of material, labelling and product documentation. You will use and develop your skills to build on your formulation knowledge.

Key Accountabilities

•    Conduct continuous improvement and project work that aims to improve operations at the factory.
•    Ensure a safe and secure workplace by taking an active part in improvements and proper behavior.
•    Collaborate with other teams to achieve efficient operation and ensure high customer delivery.
•    Update formulation software with available raw material data, retrieving information from relevant sources and reporting.

•    Daily maintenance of formulas following plant and customer needs
•    Formulate and ensure the products are manufactured in accordance with applicable requirements and specifications.
•    Creation of labels of the products.
•    Legislation checks both for products and labels
•    Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
•    Other duties as assigned

Qualifications 

Minimum Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Animal Nutrition or Veterinary Science as examples)
•    Minimum of five years of related work experience
•    Excellent English and Turkish language skills

Preferred Qualifications

•    Master's degree or other post-secondary degree
•    Nutrition formulation knowledge
•    Prior experience in nutrition or feed production
•    Experience with formulation software and ERP systems
•    Basic knowledge of applicable standards, regulations, and safety requirements
•    Experience in complex software systems and biological knowledge of raw material characteristics
