Supply Chain Specialist

Position Purpose :

·       Strive for zero accident.

·       Develop analysis and reporting capabilities on Safety & Downtime tracking within CHEP Own plants.

·       Conduct ongoing reports and statistical analysis to support plants in confirming validity of safety & other plant generated data.

·       Will work closely with supply chain local team on budget & forecasting preparation and monitoring

·       Responsible for supporting the operation leads to implement new structure in operation as part of Supply Chain

·       Participate and contribute to regional supply chain projects

·       Participate and contribute to cross functional projects

·       Involvement in Shaping Our Future projects

Major/Key Accountabilities:

      Operational Planning – Strategic and tactical

·       Supporting the S&OP process – Demand to executive reviews

·       Supporting weekly ITP (Integrated Tactical Planning) process

·       Manage plant level inventories at optimal levels balancing plant capacities to ensure fine trade-off between service, cost, and cash

·       Responsible for customer flows analysis and optimization of the network

·       Analysis and improvement of JDA output – DP and PSO modules

·       Support Planning Lead to deliver scenarios and contingency planning framework – Strategic and tactical

·       Identify short, medium, and long-term opportunities for direct cost savings

·       Work closely with quality and logistics for supply analysis and readjustments on monthly / weekly / daily basis

·       Support Planning Lead for hire capex planning and Material requirement planning

·       Highlight exceptions in demand and supply

Qualifications :

·    Degree Logistics, Supply Chain, planning or equivalent

·    Desired specific planning and cost optimization qualification

Experience :

·       1-3 years of progressive experience and responsibility in Supply Chain

·       Previous logistics/supply chain/distribution/shipping experience is a plus

·       Working in a matrix environment

·       Knowledge of the operation function

·       Outstanding analytical, problem solving and organizational abilities

Skills and Knowledge :

·       Technical competencies to include: Operation modules, project planning and development, information technologies, experience with analysis and design of supply chain solutions is a plus

·       Business competencies to include cost-benefit analysis, negotiation

·       Better interpersonal savviness, excellent oral and written communication from top management to operational staff, presentation skills, staff development and organizational skills

·       Drive for results - Autonomous, self-initiative and results driven

·       Proficient skills using standard PC tools (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Etc.)

·       Detail oriented, excellent analytical skills, business acumen, problem solving

·       Customer focus – Understanding of customer flows
