Cbs Coach (Lean Management)

Main Tasks

• Manage and coordinate all CBS (Contitech Business System) activities for the plant.
• Translate the plant CBS strategy into action plans and ensure implementation (shared with the Plant Manager).
• Contribute to strategic and operational planning of the plant/operations unit (e.g., investments, capacity and headcount planning).
• Ensure the achievement of CBS targets according to internal and external customer expectations.
• Live and promote CBS principles and methods.
• Initiate and control investments for CBS equipment (e.g.,training materials,external training programs, etc.).
• Interface with Segment, BU and BA functions to gather local CBS requirements, demands and feedback.
• Participate in and/or steer global and local CBS-related cross-functional projects.
• Conduct employee dialogues, personnel development activities and coaching sessions.
• Prepare, review and manage the budget and forecast of CBS cost centers.
• Ensure timely submission of financial data to Controlling.
• Implement and conduct activities according to the established budget.
• Ensure that financial goals are achieved. 
• Identify CBS opportunities and improvement potential, and derive the CBS roadmap together with plant/operations unit management.
• Initiate CBS projects, Rapid Improvement Events (RIE), Just Do It (JDI) initiatives, structured problem-solving activities, Gemba leadership practices and other CBS methods to leverage identified potential.
• Support and ensure the implementation of CBS projects and activities according to the plant/operations unit roadmap, reflecting the current business situation.
• Operate and manage the idea management system according to established standards. 
• Ensure the availability of qualified employees for the CBS function in cooperation with Plant HR.
• Initiate and control the continuous qualification and development of CBS employees in cooperation with Plant HR.
• Conduct workshops and coaching sessions for plant employees and management to introduce and develop CBS philosophy, principles and methods throughout the plant's/operations unit's processes (e.g.,lean thinking, continuous improvement culture, lean leadership, etc.). 
• Ensure CBS KPI monitoring and reporting (e.g., CBS projects, workshops, improvement measures and achievements) in cooperation with plant management and Controlling.
• Maintain the CBS project database, including project approvals, project charters, achieved results and overall data accuracy.
• Initiate and control measures to improve CBS performance. 
• Ensure local implementation of central and Business Areas CBS standards.
• Provide feedback and input for the further development of CBS standards, processes, workshop concepts, methods and tools to Segment, BU and BA functions.

Required Knowledge

• Manufacturing related technologies, systems, infrastructures, standards and processes Products, systems and technologies.
• Experience in implementation of Lean principles, framework and CBS methods and tools Knowledge and understanding of plant key processes.
• Quality management (including quality policies, systems and processes) 
• Local language & culture.
• Problem solving and decision making tools andtechniques. 
• Lean production/CBS principles, methods and tools. 
• Presentation, change management, negotiation and conflict resolution techniques.
• Team-building, delegation, performance management and people development techniques.
• Project management skills, tools and techniques.
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is preferred.

Experience

• University degree, preferably in Industrial orMechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in various Lean manufacturing.
• Cross-functional experience in areas such as Engineering, Quality, Purchasing or Supply Chain is preferred.
• Initial experience in rubber and plastic production processes. 
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience, preferably within operational units, including functional and disciplinary responsibility for employees. 
• Experience working with international teams on production-related topics and a strong understanding of different cultures.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory. German is an asset.
