Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical and / or Industrial)
• Minimum 2 years of production experience in the automotive industry (preferably) with strong knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques,
• Proficient in MS Office applications,
• SAP HANA knowledge is a plus,
• Good command of written and spoken English (German is an asset),
• Strong presentation and communication skills, able to work effectively in international operations,
• High sense of responsibility, adaptable to flexible working hours, eager to learn and develop,
• Able to work under stress and time pressure, open to feedback,
• No travel restrictions,

Job Description

• Determination of the production process and estimation of the manufacturing costs
• Specification and design of production processes (standards)
• Definition of production parameters for confection, vulcanization, assembly - Planning, organization and control
• Preparation of testing recipes and programs for serial testing machines 
• Project Management of industrialization projects concerning products, tooling, processes, machinery and equipment including layout
• Feasibility Study
• Process Capability Study
• Preparation of standard operation procedures, work instructions and control plans
• Serial-handover of new processes
• Time and motion studies (REFA)
• Change of production location (location A -> B). Implementation and project management  
• Layout and specification of equipment and tooling
• Installation of machinery (at the supplier and in the plant)
• Administration of internal recipe database and production program
• Serial-handover of new machines and equipment 
• Close cooperation with Product Development / Application Engineering
• Participation in alignment meetings 
• Planning of sample production
• Documentation of the sample production 
• Training of production personnel
• Training of new technical personnel 
• Support of serial production in order to ensure the necessary quality
• Support during securing the defined production processes
• Problem Solving in the production in case of production problems
• Participation and contribute in alignment meetings
• Administration of routings, material master data (categorization, master data, work preparation), master data center, bill of material (creation, change and change master) 
• Optimization of production islands / production areas including layout
• Detection and highlighting of improvements
• Idea Management: Realization of continuous improvements and ideas 
• Active support (realization and control) of relevant production plants worldwide concerning PI activities
• Promotion of improvements in the PI community worldwide and transfer to other plants
• Development of "state to the art" knowledge about processes and equipment
• Initiation and implementation of a worldwide overview about machines, equipment and tooling 
• Active participation in environmental health and safety activities
• Review the Safety devices integrated to the new machines and processes
