We are looking for a Senior Social Responsibility Specialist to be assigned at our headquarters in Maslak, Istanbul, for CoreX Metals & Mining.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Sociology, Public Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in social responsibility, ESG/sustainability, stakeholder engagement, community relations or related roles, preferably in the mining, energy, or heavy industry sectors.
• Solid knowledge of mining permits, licenses and authorization processes, including their social requirements.
• Experience with environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA/ESIA-related processes) and due diligence evaluation.
• Strong understanding of relevant national environmental and social regulations and international best practices.
• Knowledge of IFC Performance Standards and mining sector-specific standards is beneficial.
• Proven ability to work effectively with government authorities, local administrations, NGOs, and local communities.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and strategic planning skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good command of English; additional languages are an asset.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the company’s social responsibility and community engagement strategies for mining operations.
• Coordinate and manage social requirements related to mining permits and licenses, ensuring full compliance.
• Lead stakeholder engagement processes with local communities, public institutions, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Conduct and oversee social impact assessments, field studies, and related reporting required during licensing and permitting stages.
• Identify social impacts, risks and opportunities and develop mitigation and improvement plans.
• Contribute to ESG/sustainability, social performance, and non-financial reporting.
• Monitor and evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of social responsibility projects at site level, as well as their compliance with permit and licence conditions.
• Support internal and external audits, inspections, and official correspondence related to social and permitting matters.
• Work in close coordination with ESG, environmental, legal, and operational teams.
