We are looking for a " IT Administrator " for our consultancy project at Malta.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Resolving end user support requests at 1st and 2nd line level and escalating to 3rd line,
when necessary, to achieve efficient resolution.
• Maintaining and configuring the server in both physical and virtual environment.
• Managing and maintaining email and database systems.
• Providing technical support to end users.
• Provisioning of user accounts and performing access control.
• Monitoring system performance and maintaining systems, according to requirements.
• Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.
• Commissioning, assigning, maintaining, and decommissioning all desktop hardware,
including PCs, laptops, printers.
• Documenting IT processes.
• Following IT policies and procedures at all times and promoting end user adherence to
same, at all times.
• Performing desk moves and ensuring all local PC locations are documented and
updated.
• Creating and maintaining Active Directory groups and applying to shared drives, where
required.
• Staying up to date with industry developments and emerging technologies.
• Planning and executing upgrades and migrations.
• Monitoring network performance and troubleshooting network issues.
• Additional duties that the Department may require to run efficiently.
• Participating in an on-call rotation, if required
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
•Advanced diploma in IT achieved by an accredited teaching organisation,
•Minimum 3 years’ experience working knowledge at Systems Administration or IT,
•Administration level in an enterprise environment,
•Industry standard certifications from companies such as Microsoft, Cisco CCNA, ITIL or CompTIA,
•Good working knowledge of Operating Systems, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, GPO, RDS,
•Having Virtualisation knowledge (Hyper-V, VMWare),
•Excellent understanding of Automation, Hardware and Software,
•Good command of ITIL,
•Experience providing IT phone support,
•Proficient in supporting and troubleshooting VPN clients and remote connectivity,
•Having experience creating and managing user accounts in Windows Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange,
•Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with strong attention to detail,
•Technical ability supporting and maintaining hardware and peripheral devices,
•Excellent communication skills, great team player,
•Strong technical skills with a focus on exceeding customer expectations and improving the customer experience,
•Good at working independently with limited supervision,
•Ability to clearly communicate and explain technical issues to a non-technical audience,
•Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines,
•Smart thinking and positive attitude,
•Excellent organisation skills,
•Fluent in oral and written English.
