Role Description

As the Embedded Linux/Android Software Architect, you will get the unique opportunity to work in a cross-functional engineering team developing technologies and innovative product solutions across the Automotive Cockpit Electronics Sector.

This position is responsible for the execution of assigned architecture tasks, providing technical expertise on Android OS - Android Automotive OS based complex product development projects. The Embedded Linux/Android Software Architect is responsible for designing the software architecture of Android Automotive OS based in-vehicle infotainment systems, writing codes and guiding Android developers.

Role Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) and/or Master of Science (MS) Degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering  (or related disciplines also acceptable)
• 5+ years of extensive low-level driver & Board Support Package (BSP) Engineering experience
• Embedded Android Framework experience (Embedded Linux experience is also acceptable)
• Proficiency in C++ and/or Java
• AIDL, JNI, Binder/IPC development experience
• Experience developing and debugging software in a real-time, embedded, multiprocessor, multi-interface environment.
• Experience working on the core Android stack, especially with the framework, HAL, and/or Linux kernel
• Strong understanding of ARM architecture
• Strong Android build system and Linux kernel driver development
• Self-motivated, able to self-improve, keen on learning new and complex technologies
• Strong understanding of Git/Gerrit
• Ability to mentor, coach, and lead other team members
• A passion for developing new products, and experience working the complete SW development life cycle.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Strong knowledge of OOP, design patterns, and UML

• Experience in automotive embedded systems development
• Agile development (XP, scrum, kanban)
