DAL TEKNİK MAKİNA (a DAL ENGINEERING GROUP company) is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive the growth of our manufacturing business by developing strategic partnerships and expanding our presence across the defense industry, heavy industrial manufacturing, OEM, and international outsourcing markets, with the defense sector as our primary strategic focus.

This position will work closely with our manufacturing operations in Çorlu, Türkiye, playing a key role in market expansion, customer engagement, and long-term business growth.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially driven Business Development Manager with proven experience in the defense industry or other heavy industrial sectors.

The successful candidate will lead business development initiatives, establish strategic partnerships, strengthen customer relationships, and contribute to the company's long-term growth strategy, with the defense industry as the primary strategic focus.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the Turkish defense ecosystem, procurement processes, and industry dynamics, while possessing excellent communication, analytical, and business development skills.

Job Description

• Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities across the defense industry, heavy industrial manufacturing, OEM, and international outsourcing markets, with particular emphasis on defense-related projects.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify potential business opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with defense companies, government organizations, industry associations, and strategic partners.
• Coordinate customer meetings, technical presentations, and commercial discussions.
• Act as the primary liaison between customers and internal Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Project Management teams to ensure the successful execution of new business opportunities.
• Support proposal preparation, tender processes, and partnership initiatives.
• Support the preparation of business development strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Prepare market analyses, feasibility studies, and business reports for senior management.
• Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, conferences, and customer meetings.

What Do We Expect?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, International Trade, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in business development, sales, strategic partnerships, or commercial activities.
• Experience in business development within the defense industry is strongly preferred.
• Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing, OEM business development, or international industrial markets will also be considered a significant advantage.
• Strong familiarity with key stakeholders, procurement processes, and industry dynamics within the Turkish defense ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of heavy manufacturing processes, including fabrication, welding, machining, casting, forging, and industrial production methods, is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with defense supplier qualification processes, including EYDEP, supplier audits, capability assessments, and approved vendor registration processes, is highly desirable.
• An established business network within the defense industry and/or heavy industrial manufacturing sectors will be considered a significant advantage.
• Excellent market analysis, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Willingness to travel when required.
