Work you will do:

• Supervising tax and accounting projects and their teams
• Preparing, examining, and analyzing reports for state authorities (tax, statistics, etc.) in compliance with current legislation
• Calculating tax liabilities for clients
• Identifying tax risks within projects
• Developing accounting and tax policies and procedures for clients
• Conducting payroll calculations
• Generating internal management reports for clients, as needed
• Maintaining regular communication with clients to address their questions related to accounting and tax matters and to foster good client relationships
• Liaising with tax and other state authorities during daily work or statutory audits
• Coaching and mentoring junior staff, providing on-the-job and theoretical tax/accounting training

Required skills and qualifications:

• University degree in Economics/Finance or related field
• Minimum of three years of experience in accounting/finance
• Advanced proficiency in both written and spoken Azerbaijani and English
• Strong knowledge of MS Office applications; familiarity with 1C or any other accounting software
• Good understanding of Azerbaijani tax and Social Insurance legislation.
• High level of self-motivation and strong career aspirations
• Team player with good leadership skills
• Demonstrated commitment to work
• Ability to excel in an environment with pressing deadlines and dynamic conditions

Additional advantages:

• Experience with a Big Four or Azerbaijani accounting services organization
• Knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP
• ACCA papers passed
