QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

DowAksa, an international indirect joint venture between the Dow Chemical Company and Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayii A.Ş., established in 2012, is providing and selling high quality carbon fiber and carbon fiber reinforced advanced composite solutions by applying science, world class manufacturing capabilities and technical knowledge, to the industrial clients.

DowAksa is selling to diversified industrial market areas.

End users are;

Pressurised Vessels

Infrastructure

Automotive

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in Engineering such as; Chemical, Process or similar fields,
• Preferably 2 years of experince in chemical regulations & recycling fields,
• Knowledgeable in sustainability reporting and ability to monitor performance indicators,
• Ability to analyze the technical and economic environmental issues of regulations and to define organizational plans responding to them,
• Ability or background in negotiations with government entities is a plus,
• Proficiency in written and spoken English,
• Good knowledge MS Office applications, and preferably has experience on Oracle ERP,
• Competent in teamwork, strong analytical approach, enable a learning approach to solve problems,
• Residing or to be residing in Yalova, Karamürsel or İstanbul Anatolian Side.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Leads DowAksa recycling activities with the ability to manage project and communication between departments and partner recycling companies, acts as point of contact in regards to DowAksa recycling project via establishing a positive, long-term relationship between organization and interested third parties such as suppliers, customers, shareholders and other stakeholders in order to inform them of the organization and its objectives,
• Monitors changes in rules, policies and legislation, and identifies how they may influence the organization, existing operations, or a specific case or situation related to recycling,
• Monitors activities and performs tasks ensuring compliance with standards involving environmental protection and sustainability, and amend activities in the case of changes in environmental legislation,
• Ensures that the processes are compliant with environmental regulations and best practices,
• Researches, develops, recommends, implements, and monitors programs to help reduce GHG generated by DowAksa,
• Analyses data of recycling process and product to optimize and improve process,
• Inspects DowAksa waste generating processes, disposal methods and their efficiency.
• Coordinates shipments of materials to be recycled,
• Tracks and monitors the progress of all DowAksa recycling partners and initiatives,
• Runs trials on DowAksa and at partner companies. Complies data for analysis and submit reports as requested,
• Provides support to other departments to implement projects, programs, and policies regarding DowAksa GHG optimization,
• Trains employees on the type of recycling methods and programs available for DowAksa and all its procedures and policies that should be taken account of,
• Advises organizations on the implementation of recycling regulations and on improvement strategies for environmentally sustainable practices and environmental awareness,
• Calculates the carbon footprint of business processes and other practices in order to promote sustainability and to raise awareness for the environmental impact,
• Inspects the implementation of recycling procedures in an organization, and the applicable legislation, in order to ensure compliance,
• Maintain records and process facts and figures about type and volume of recycling operations,
• Establishes a positive, long-term relationship between organization and interested third parties such as suppliers, distributors, shareholders and other stakeholders in order to inform them of the organization and its objectives,
• Assists in Carbon Disclosure efforts and Greenhouse Gas reporting,
• Assists in other Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety projects.
