QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably graduated from Industrial Engineering or equivalent,
• Experience on terminal operation systems,
• Comprehensive understanding of container terminal. Also needs thorough knowledge of specialty cargo handling such as temperature controlled or hazardous cargo,
• Have academic experience on operational research and statistical modelling,
• Computer literate with excellent report writing skills,
• Excellent communication skills and having a can-do attitude,
• Good planning and project management skills,
• Strong analytical and creative thinking skills for effective decision,
• Dynamic, creative and innovative,
• Speak and write fluent English.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Inspire, coach and monitor operations and safety teams to execute strategic operation plans,
• Support operation team for most cost effective, efficient and safe manner,
• Assist / work together with operation team to optimize terminal processes on all areas of operation like yard, vessel, gate, CFS, weighing, X-Ray or other services provided in terminal,
• Lead and assist operation, technical and IT team to achieve the level of automation usage,
• Create long term manning, capacity and operating plan to meet known contractual and client expectations as well as projected volume growth,
• Mentor planning team on yard strategies,
• Defines KPIs and provides dashboards for Senior management team,
• Monitors terminal statistics and processes the data using statistical techniques to forecast / estimate the effects on terminal KPI’s.
• Through leadership, develop risk awareness within the team and help them to innovate and find new ways to ensure that high performance and a genuine safety culture that can work hand-in-hand,
• Create long term manning, capacity and operating plan to meet known contractual and client expectations as well as projected volume growth,
• Ensure that necessary actions are taken to prevent revenue leakage,
• Follows industrial innovations, initiates the usage in terminal in case of any opportunity,
• Manages and assists innovative suggestions in the terminal.
