We’re looking for a “PHP Developer” to develop applications, manage deployment, and monitor the platforms. The candidate will be excited to have the ground floor opportunity to be part of the design and development of worldwide used applications. 

JOB DESCRIPTION 

• Manage full system lifecycle including building and managing of the WordPress environment, 
• Participating to the detailed technical design for the requirements, 
• Development of unit and functional according to requirements, 
• Deployment to all application environments, 
• Monitoring and providing operational support for the platforms, 
• Analyze and resolve large, complex, high impact production problems, 
• Own the platform and drive improvements to our existing code-base, architecture, tools, and processes.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate:
• Relevant educational background such as Computer Engineering, MIS, etc., or an equivalent combination of formal education, training and experience, 
• At least 4 years of experience working as a developer for customer-facing websites running on highly customized WordPress themes, 
• At least 4 years hands on experience in developing PHP applications using technologies such as PHP, HTML5, CSS3, XML, JavaScript, AJAX and experience in relational database design & web application integration (preferably with PHP/MySQL), 
• Experience with WordPress (custom theme, short code, function, ACF, etc) is an asset, 
• Understanding of MVC Architecture, Secure Coding principles, SOA and RESTful services, 
• Experience in and good level of understanding of Object Oriented design in a PHP 5 environment, Zend Framework, 
• Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and Linux environment, MySQL, GIT are strong assets, 
• Cloud knowledge is a plus. (Experience with AWS is preferred), 
• Familiarity with design principles and agile development practices such as Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development, Extreme Programming and Scrum, 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, 
• Military service should be completed or deferred at least 2 years for male candidates.
