QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an Airport Equipment Maintenance Manager for our operations in Africa, with the following qualifications;
Qualifications and Job Description:
- University degree in the field of Electric & Electronic, Mechanic, and Mechatronic Engineering,
- Excellent leadership, ability to lead by example,
- Strong people skills, motivational skills, team building, and decision-making,
- Strong administrative skills, ability to prioritize, delegate, and meet deadlines,
- Effective detection and understanding,
- Ability to do the task in time and completely,
- Analytical mind,
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Between 30-45 years,
- Minimum 5 years of Garage Maintenance experience,
- Maintenance and repairing knowledge on Ground Handling and Airport Vehicles.
The definition of job:
- Garage Manager manages maintenance and repair work on Ground Handling and Airport Vehicles.
- Maintains records of repair work and fuel to detect recurrent faults; Planning, checking stock, and ordering spare parts for equipment in time-bounded.
Duties within the scope of;
- Maintains, reports and applies Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and/or Service Level Agreements (SLA)
- Considers the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
- Getting members of a group to work together to accomplish tasks.
- Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
- Providing guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
- Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
- Effectively manage all aspects of own staff’s performance e.g. recruitment, performance reviews, learning and development, discipline, grievance, and industrial relations.
- Manages resources effectively to ensure the efficient running of the department in line with organizational procedures.
- Direct and coordinate operations to obtain optimum use of equipment, vehicles, and personnel
- Ensure necessary resources of labor, equipment and time are available to all employees to allow maximum productivity of operations staff.
