Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering disciplines, Master's or PhD degree is an asset
• 5+ years of experience on electrified powertrain development
• Experience on development of hybrid and electric vehicles
• Multi-discipline (mechanical, electrical, electronics, software) technical knowledge of electrified powertrain components, systems and architectures 
• Experience with relevant automotive product development processes 
• Able to provide technical guidance to team members on what, why, and how
• Experience of leading a high-performance engineering team
• Good English skills (spoken and written)
• A highly motivated self-starter and team-player with very good communication skills

Job Description

As an Electrified Powertrain Lead Engineer in the Electrification Department of FEV Turkey, you will be part of a highly skilled team driven to design and engineer best-in-class electrified powertrains. You will lead your engineering team for the specification, development, testing and validation of electrified powertrains at component, subsystem and system level, utilizing existing systems engineering knowledge and cross functional engineering team members, such as mechanical and electrical engineering. You will work in a collaborative team environment. You will be contributing to the development of advanced concepts as well as their implementation for application tohybrid and full electric vehicles. 

Your Tasks

• Technical guidance, leadership and motivation of electrified powertrain engineering team
• Build and maintain technical competency in the engineering team, determining open skills/engineering capacity gaps and finding solutions
• Working in a multidisciplinary team, develop and deliver best-in-class solutions for hybrid and full electric powertrains and their components/systems
• Develop product development plan, milestones, budgets, and scheduling
• Develop design verification test plans, safety and standards compliance test plans
• Lead specification of vehicle and system requirements, required tools and test systems for development and verification of electrified powertrain
• Lead performance simulation and component selection of electrified powertrain
• Lead technical specifications of electrical and mechanical components, mechanical design and  integration into electrified powertrain
• Lead design of electrical, electronics, communication and functional architectures of electrified powertrain
• Lead definition of RFQs, supplier assessment and selection
• Lead commissioning, function integration, startup, calibration and testing at vehicle and powertrain test benches
• Lead regulation analysis and homologation of hybrid and electric vehicles
• Lead benchmark analysis and tests
• Lead the organization to the latest technology developments and trends in industry, also monitoring market and competitors’ product 
• Develop roadmaps for future projects and products to continuously advance FEV electrified powertrain performance
• Collaborate closely with other FEV locations and universities
