Roles and Responsibilities:

• Understanding national and international design standards and necessary design tools
• Ensuring components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards
• Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy
• Provide Conceptual Electrical Design, from Tender to Detailed Contract Design taking in account international rules and national standards, using the appropriate GE standards and tools, relying on material specifications (technical understandings, costs, procurement loop), and manufacturing capabilities
• Lead the Gate Review Meetings related to the Conceptual Electrical Design and attend the other Gate Reviews including the manufacturing release for evaluating all designs and support to Unit Design Execution (DE) and Production teams to ensure the quality of design during production by means of necessary follow-ups, meetings etc. till certification of components or technologies
• Work together with the other CoE & DE teams of the PTR Global Technology & Engineering organization to support the development and improvement of standard tools, rules and procedures for Shunt Reactor (SR) as a part of PTR Common Design Concept
• Following non-conformance reports for her/his own projects and taking necessary corrective and preventive actions
• Responsible for ensuring that all potential product technical risks are identified with the risk mitigation plan clearly defining the expected contribution of functions that control the particular risk areas starting from tendering to product delivery
• Lead and/or contribute problem solving (e.g. 8D, 5Why...) and D-FMEA (Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) studies
• Attend engineering & production reviews to produce error free designs & reliable products, to reduce the cost of non-quality and to insure adequate performance of the unit
• Analyzing and respond to customer complaints in a coordination with her/his Team Coordinator, Lead Engineers and relevant leaders/experts
• Participate to technical customers meetings when needed and support Commerical & Design Execution team to provide solutions to the customers in coordination with PTR experts
• Aware of the company and local EHS policies, rules and standards. Showing exemplary behaviours on EHS. Performing thepreventive/corrective actions in collaboration with EHS team to avoid the accidents, incidents and environmental damages.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics Engineering (M.Sc. degree is preferred)
• Good level of English both oral & written
• Min 5 years’ professional experience working in Electrical Design area
• Good knowledge level of design process, broad knowledge in transformer business (Shunt Reactor and Special Transformer Design  knowledge would be a big asset)
• Good level of English both oral & written
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional global organization
• Ability to provide Quality of analysis & reporting
• Good command of MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Knowledge of problem solving methods (e.g. 8D, 5Why...) and D-FMEA (Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis)
