GE Hydro is a tier 2 business with € 1,5 Bn of sales and a global headcount of 3500. Sourcing organization of the business is structured around commodities. The Procurement Specialist contributes to implementing tactical and strategic initiatives by teamworking with other stakeholders and manages the Purchase Order follow up process for a given set of goods by applying sourcing policy, and being the interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Executes the follow-up activities of the Purchase Orders. Manages relationships with suppliers for PO execution
• Manages problems and schedule changes. Keeps ERP updated with most recent and accurate forecast
• Ensures smooth supplier payment activities.
• Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
• Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults People Leader or more senior team members for issues outside of defined parameters.
• Collaborates with others to solve issues. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
• Handles simple data entry work requiring face value check and correction
• Lead discussions with suppliers during execution in case of claims, PO changes in coordination with the Project

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable university
• Relevant/proven experience in Sourcing - Procurement & Supply Chain activities especially supplier & PO follow up in technical commodities of EPC Turnkey Projects
• Fluent in English
• Self-directed, detail-oriented, organized, and flexible
• Familiarity with contract execution in Procure to Pay systems with SAP based ERP systems
• Compliance & controllership mindset

Desired Qualifications:

• Engineering Degree is a plus
• Experience on Power industry, preferably Working technical knowledge of Hydro or correlated segments is a strong adder
• Spanish or French is a plus
• Technology enthusiast
• Passion/aptitude for both software and information technology
• Up to date with current industry standards, digital tools
