Full Job Description

Data Center Infrastructure Manager provides day-to-day oversight and leadership of data center facility. Responsibilities include maintenance, repair, installation and operation of the facility as it pertains to electrical systems, mechanical systems, capacity planning, project management, customer build-outs, and all other aspects of data center facility operation.

She / He is responsible for managing 24/7 activities of Facility Team while working in collaboration with Network Operations, Operation, Data Center Hardware Install Team and various other internal and external customers; position reports to CTO.

Key areas of focus for this role:

•        Provide leadership to the local Data Center Facilities team with a broad set of responsibilities; manage tactical and strategic activities with focus on continuous improvement.
•        Operates and maintains data center to assure 100% uptime to customers.
•        Ensures that data centers comply with all local, state, and federal health and safety requirements.
•       Operates data center equipment to obtain maximum effectiveness and efficiency (safety, cost, equipment longevity, and reliability).
•       Works with Sales, Service Delivery and Customers to provide successful build implementations within specified timelines, including review and approval of proposed Service Level Agreements and Contract changes.
•        Participates in all Change Management processes including risk assessment and procedural development and review.
•       Works closely with the technical teams in problem resolution and trending.
•        Manages raised-floor capacity, power and cooling in data centers, maximizing revenue space for installed products.
•       Managing operations and maintenance of all data center infrastructure equipment (critical and non-critical).
•       Manage local facilities team, including facilities training program and overall staff development.
•       Schedule and supervise the performance of both routine maintenance and emergency service on critical systems, including: diesel generators, UPS systems, electrical switchgear, power distribution equipment, chillers, HVAC equipment, fire detection/suppression and building monitoring systems.
•        Management of critical infrastructure improvement projects.
•       Development and management of facilities budget for maintenance, repairs, capital and general operating costs; bottom-up development of yearly budgets.
•   Manage all facilities documentation (planning, development, and implementation).
•       Coordination with all other groups (sales, NOC, network, finance, executive staff).
•         Negotiation and approval of vendor contracts/agreements.
•        On-call 24x7 for incident management and data center emergency response.

Required Qualifications :

• Good command of English in required literature, project and client communications.
• 5-10 years of facilities experience in mission critical environments with 3 years in a supervisory/management role.
• Strong management and leadership skills.
• Extensive knowledge of data center critical systems, including: diesel generators, UPS systems, fuel systems, switchgear, power distribution equipment, chillers, computer room air handlers, fire detection/suppression and facilitie monitoring systems.
• Must have the ability to make solid business decisions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Candidate must display confidence in client-facing situations.
• Graduated from Electrical, Mechanical or related engineering disciplines.
• Team player with excellent consultative and communication skills and the proven ability to work effectively with internal and external clients, vendors and consultants.
