R&D and Design Manager

We are looking for an “R&D and Design Manager” to work in our company, a leading Tier1 supplier in automotive industry.

• Graduated from universities, preferably from Mechanical, Automotive, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering,
• At least 5 years of experience in plastic parts design,
• At least 10 years of experience in automotive industry (10 years in R&D department is preferred),
• Experience on exterior trim design is a plus,
• Experience on CATIA V5 and/or Siemens NX software,
• Knowledge about PLM systems (Enovia is preferred),
• Enough knowledge to interpret on structural and moldflow simulations (CAE),
• Strong diagnose skills about technical problems,
• Deep knowledge about DFMEA,
• Prone and compatible with teamwork,
• Researcher, analytical thinker, following scientific and technological innovations,
• Strong communication and managerial skills,
• Ready to take responsibilities,
• Fluency in English,
• No restrictions for travelling (domestic and international),
• Class B driver's license,
• Completed military service for male candidates.

Job Description:

• To lead R&D team members,
• To lead government and EU supported R&D projects,
• To monitor closely co-design projects and to set design review meetings,
• To lead design team about finding technical solution for design problems,
• To follow the integration of PLM system,
• To give final approval for 3D and 2D and RFQ package releases,
• To guide the team about CAE simulations,
• To participate in technical meetings with the customer and to evaluate technical solutions,
• To follow activities of engineering partners,
• To control the budget of R&D projects,
• To evaluate performance of R&D team members,
• To act as a coach for R&D team members and to track their improvements,
• To have close communication with Project, Sales, Purchasing and Process & Method Departments.
