(Company name is confidential) telecommunications equipment provider for Telco and Defence industries with an active and longstanding footprint in abroad markets. We have a well-established hardware and software engineering background with a focus on telecommunications equipment development.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical-Electronics Engineering with 12+ years’ experience,
• Preferred Master of Science in Electrical-Electronics Engineering with 10+ years’ experience,
• Other engineering degrees with significant HW/SW development experience,
• Resolving critical technical problems that has cross domain dependencies,
• Establishing and managing innovative and productive development teams,
• Product requirement gathering and analysis, effort estimations,
• HW/SW development/integration,
• Design of telecommunication equipment.
• Experience with or passion for telco or defense industries,
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to General Manager;

• Leads development team (HW and SW engineers and technicians),
• Shares ideas for technical direction of the R&D unit, acts as advisor and mentor,
• Liaise with customers and industrial standard setting organizations –both domestic and abroad,
• Defines HW/SW systems requirements for customers,
• Determines system specifications, I/O processes and working parameters for HW/SW compatibility,
• Aligns with HW/SW engineers and product architects to ensure the deliverable is in line with the specific requirements,
• Explores, designs, and evaluates new advanced technologies by translating requirements or strategic business objectives into final architectures,
• Lead projects with manageable risks and resource requirements,
• Handles day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work.
