Technical Operations Manager

A well-established company operating in the manufacturing industry is seeking an experiencedTechnical Operations Manager to lead the establishment and operational management of its manufacturing facility located inGebze, Kocaeli.

This is a strategic leadership role reporting directly to the Board of Directors. The successful candidate will play a key role in building operational excellence, developing manufacturing capabilities, and creating a high-performance culture within a growing organization serving global aerospace customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all manufacturing operations to achieve business, quality, delivery and cost objectives.
• Support the establishment of manufacturing process flows, technical documentation and production layouts during the facility ramp-up phase.
• Develop and implement Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve productivity and enhance quality performance.
• Drive operational excellence by minimizing scrap, rework and overall cost of quality while maintaining customer requirements.
• Build and develop cross-functional operational teams.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to establish and strengthen key support functions including:

  • Human Resources
  • Finance
  • EHS
  • Customer Service & Planning
  • Engineering
  • Continuous Improvement
  • R&D
• Lead Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (S&OP/SIOP) processes to ensure alignment between customer demand, supply chain and production.
• Manage supplier and subcontractor relationships while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable standards.
• Foster a culture focused on teamwork, safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Mentor, coach and develop department managers and technical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in manufacturing operations.
• Previous experience in high-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes including forming, machining and assembly operations.
• Experience managing manufacturing support functions such as Quality, Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance.
• Proven experience with New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Familiarity with aerospace quality systems and standards (AS9100 experience is highly preferred).
• Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively in an international business environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/manufacturing systems.
• Experience leading Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects.
