QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

As Griffin Consultancy we are searching for a Purchasing Director for one of our international business partners who is the global leader in food production. The Purchasing Director shall have the job definition and qualifications as below;


Job Definition;

  • Identifying and developing purchasing policies in line with the company strategies,
  • Implementing the global purchasing strategies managed by the regional office (Middle East and Central Asia),
  • Managing periodical budget & planning & reporting activities for the department as well as committing improvement & enhancement activities for the regarding processes,
  • Being responsible for direct & indirect purchasing activities and manage the supplier qualification, selection and evaluation processes in line with business development goals,
  • Managing the team for achieving all purchasing activities of requested goods & services within the best possible cost and quality standards,
  • Managing the relationship with current and potantial suppliers which are critical for company operations,
  • Planning & executing supplier audits in coordination with Quality department,
  • Ensuring purchasing invoices are aligned with purchase orders & agreement conditions whereas proactively supporting related process owners for invoice issues,
  • Supporting and guiding investment processes for technical infrastructure and information systems used for purchasing activities,
  • Work in accordance with Quality Management Systems, HACCP and HSE standards as well as follow the legal legislations & industry updates in order to pinpoint potential risks and opportunities,
  • Responsible for managing the company’s purchasing budget in line with profitability, turnover, cash flow and quality objectives.

Qualifications;

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in relative fields,
  • At least 15 years of experience in purchasing management, preferably in consumer goods and/or chemicals industry,
  • Hands on managerial experience in a manufacturing plant along with previous experience in a global reporting network,
  • Solid experience in partnering with the senior management,
  • Effective and open communicator with strong analytical skills & extensive negotiation approach,
  • Advanced management skills with ability to support employee development,
  • Fluency in English,
  • SAP knowledge.
