As Huawei Turkey R&D Center, we are now looking for a Head of Engineering Manager to join our team.

The Role

• Drive a quality-first approach to software development and manage growing teams of Experienced Software Engineers, Engineering Managers and Researchers, and organize the recruitment processes of new talents/experts
• Monitor multiple concurrent projects while effectively solving problems that cross product boundaries, and develop creative strategies for achieving high quality on complex and challenging assignments
• Promote active, continuous learning and improvement within your teams. Cultivate team members’ growth through feedback, coaching and career development

• Participate in Agile/Scrum project management methodologies to provide technical leadership and project management for all aspects of the software development lifecycle
• Involve in the architecture, development, testing, deployment, and delivery of large-scale global software applications, systems, platforms, services or technologies

• Participate in strategic planning to achieve technical and business goals with team, leadership chain, and with customers

Requirements

• BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or related field,
• 10+ years of software development experience with some of the modern programming languages and key concepts (Java, JavaScript, HTML, React/Vue.js, Microservice Architecture, Elastic Search, Kafka etc.) and open-source technologies (Linux, Spring etc.),
• 5+ years of management experience with 2+ years’ experience managing managers,
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing and operations,
• Demonstrated ability to mentor our software engineers and research team in all aspects of their engineering skill-set,
• Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
