İltekno is now seeking for a Solar Project Engineer! Solar Project Engineer duties will include support of potential solar power plant projects. Candidate must be able to successfully assist with preparation of plans and applicable specifications and must be able to interface with, and provide general project support to, senior project professionals.

Responsibilities

• Specify pertinent equipment including inverters, cabling/terminations, interconnection equipment, protective systems, panelboards, transformers, and other miscellaneous equipment required to interconnect the engineered systems,
• Conduct evaluations of equipment as required, to determine compliance with applicable standard(s),
• Prepare RFQ package for MCC Building, Transformer, Generator, etc. and review of Vendor Quotes, Develop Technical Bid Evaluations with Clarifications.
• Prepare conceptual site layout drawings and system one-line diagrams,
• Basic analyze and simulate PV project energy production; Perform energy generation modeling for solar projects using computer aided tools and software,
• Develop customer feasibility/avoided cost reports (BoQ) as required, research and submit local incentive and utility rebate applications, as well as assist in the development and coordination of technical RFP/RFQ proposals,
• Prepare PV application form documents for EDAŞ,
• Calculate, prepare required documents and final design for existing projects,
• Approve final designs by the customer and relevant authority(EDAŞ, TEDAŞ),
• Research, evaluate, and select system components including panels, inverters, racking, batteries, battery management systems, and grid interconnection,
• Understand and comply with the İltekno’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards,
• Check the progress of work in the field to ensure compliance with productivities and schedules,
• Manage processes of pay applications, subcontractor billings, and accounts payable,
• Provide support for warranty processes as a technical responsible of the projects,

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree / Master’s in Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Energy Systems Engineering or relevant discipline,
• 3+ years of direct Project experience, preferably in utility scale solar development, utility infrastructure or construction industry projects,
• Experience in solar PV Grid-Tie installation projects for commercial and industrial customers,
• Excellent verbal, written, technical, and computer communication and presentation skills required,

Specifications

• Proficient in the PVSol, PVsys, Sketchup, Skelion (Sketchup extension), AutoCAD, Microsoft Office,
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office,
• Must be willing to potentially travel to abroad or out-of-town for site visits and meetings,
• Having class B driving licences,
• Good command of English both written and spoken,
