Factory Manager - Izmir

Our client is an international manufacturing and well known company in its industry. With HQs in Central Europe, they are producing top quality steam and process valves. Due to their expanding operation and production facilities in Turkey we are looking for a ‘Factory Manager’.

The successful candidate will be responsible of Production & Planning, Industrial Engineering, IT & Processes, Facility Management, Purchasing and act as a key member of the senior management team as a second-in-command reporting to MD.

The goal is to secure functionality of the business (especially production), to drive extensive and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities ;

• Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures for the associated departments
• Planning and implementing necessary measures to increase production capacity & efficiency and decreasing losses
• Managing sourcing, planning and production activities in order to meet customer requirements and delivery times
• Manage relationships with partners/vendors
• Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
• Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations

• Proven experience as Factory Manager or Chief Operating Office or relevant role (Min.15 years experience in similar fields)
• Experience in machining, corrosion protection and assembly operations (pressure equipment production if possible)
• Experience in project based production activities
• Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
• Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
• In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.)
• Proven experience in lean management techniques
• Extensive knowledge about HSE requirements of a heavy industry

Qualifications;

• Mechanical Engineering Degree
• Good command of English
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
• Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
• Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM)
• Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
