Senior Internal Audit Specialist

We are looking for a Senior Internal Audit Specialist to take part in technical and operational processes within the Internal Audit Department of our company. 

Our expectations from the candidates who will work in this position; 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from reputable universities.
• At least 3 years of experience in engineering, project management, airport operations other technical field management and/or at least 3 years of experience in internal audit department of audit-production companies,
• Knowledge of international auditing standards and risk-oriented audit approach, is an added advantage,
• Preferably having at least one of the CIA, CRMA certificates or having started the processes,
• Experience in business processes understanding, identifying risks and weaknesses, developing, and executing audit procedures to assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls to mitigate the risks,
• Preferably used SAP application,
• Advanced command of MS Office programs,
• Advanced written and spoken English language skills,
• Strong reporting, analysis, analytical thinking, problem solving competencies and solution oriented,
• Strong communication skills, clear and effective communication,
• Open to learning and prone to teamwork,
• Strong problem-solving skills and solution oriented,
• Strong technical and operational business understanding,
• Strong technical internal audit skills and knowledge of internal control, risk management, and governance processes,
• Result-oriented with an eye for details,
• Able to maintain personal relationships in a professional and business-oriented manner in the work environment,
• High level of ethics and integrity,
• Able to adapt to multicultural work environments where different languages are spoken,
• Reside/will be able to reside on the Anatolian side of Istanbul. 

JOB DESCRIPTION 

In accordance with the objectives and principles determined by the Internal Audit Department; 

• Planning audit projects and conducting preliminary studies,
• Attending the opening meetings with the managers and other relevant personnel of the unit where the planned audit will be conducted,
• Collect, examine, and evaluate sufficient and reliable information and documents related to the issues identified in the risk and control assessments to achieve the audit objectives within the scope of fieldwork,
• Preparing the draft audit report,
• Deliberating with management on audit findings, attending closing meetings
• Monitoring, tracking, and reporting of action plans determined as a result of audit activities,
• To follow up the implementation of the actions agreed upon with the management,
• Conducting investigation activities and preparing reports when a situation that may require a special examination or investigation is detected during or as a result of the audit,
• Coordinate and control the work of external auditors and consultants as and when required.
