DEMO CHEF ASSISTANT

Full Job Description

The assistant demo chef will support the demo chef in organizing all kinds of culinary activities and will organize demos himself. The assistant demo chef must be interested in the culinary arts and enthusiastically explain, teach, taste and experience our products to customers. In addition, identifying customer needs, organizing a suitable demo program for them, promoting the right products and performing an effective demo are among the most important tasks. Category-based demos such as Tex-Meks, Far Eastern, European cuisine, etc.. are also a desired feature for both customers and sales team.

Culinary Demo- Demonstrates cooking procedures for our products by following instructions on the label/package and preparing sample applications according to recipes created by the Demo Chef
Sales and Customer Support- Answers customer’s questions about cooking procedure and cooking applications for our products.
Product Presentation- Presents products, product attributes, proper procedures in a formal and instructional way verbally
Travel Planning and Scheduling- Plan demo timelines and travel schedules. Book own flights to and from demo locations and coordinate all info with the team.
Logistics and Planning- Ensure that the facility has appropriate tools and equipment. Create a shopping list and procure materials for the demo.

Menu Development:Able to adapt our products into creative menu applications and penetrate in their menu.

Education/Skills:

• Degree in Culinary Arts / Gastronomy / Chef Schools
• 1-3 years of experience as a Culinary Chef
• Advance in English speaking and writing
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong knowledge of proper food handling practices and food safety/sanitation standards that are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Attention to details
• Solid understanding of ingredient functionality
• Import product knowledge is a plus
