KPMG Forensic Technology Unit
As KPMG Turkey, we are looking for our new Consultants and Senior Consultants who want to specialize in forensic technology discipline as part of our commercial dispute, fraud investigation and compliance consultancy services. Our dynamic and market leader department with its talented and high-profile members is conducting complex fraud investigations with the support of our technically enabled forensic technology unit.
Our Mission
Forensic Technology
- We identify, collect and analyze electronically stored information that might be relevant to fraud/misconduct investigations,
- We conduct or advise e-discovery and cyber investigations by applying state-of-art e-discovery methods, in compliance with globally and locally accepted rules and regulations,
- We manage and enable review of electronically stored information by taking robust security measures,
- We apply cutting-edge data analysis techniques to analyze structured and unstructured data extracted from wide variety of resources,
- We implement latest data analytics solutions and most effective anti-fraud mechanisms to identify and prevent potential fraud scenarios,
- We deliver high-quality output compromising our findings and recommendations.
A Successful Forensic Team Member
As a Consultant, your main responsibility will be performing field works. You will;
- Collect, process and analyze electronic information with forensically sound methods within investigations,
- Enable collected data for further document and mail review,
- Document work steps taken during projects and prepare a report including findings to more senior members of the team,
- Satisfy quality requirements in each phase of an engagement,
- Stay up to date by following latest improvements in forensic technology discipline.
Required Backgrounds and Technical Skills;
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Programming, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics or related technical engineering discipline or related area,
- Minimum of 2 + years of experience in an information technology (IT) environment, preferably including programming, relational database design, management and e-discovery practices,
- Experience with e-discovery applications such as EnCase, FTK, Cellebrite, Oxygen Forensics and Magnet Axiom,
- Experience with review platforms such as Intella, Relativity and NUIX,
- Knowledge in computer and mobile device hardware such as hard drives, chipsets, operating system distributions and versions,
- Eager to follow latest developments in forensic technology discipline globally,
- Familiarity working with Linux distributions such as Deft Zero, Deft 8, Kali Linux or Ubuntu,
- Excellent knowledge in query languages such as T-SQL and PL-SQL and database management systems such as MSSql, TOAD etc.
- Willingness to travel
Desired Capabilities;
- Personal interest in cryptography and encryption algorithms,
- Experience with statistical analysis languages such as R and Python,
- Professional certifications such as CFE or CHFI,
- Personal interest in law, litigation and complex commercial matters,
- Microsoft Office skills related to the usage of MS Office software like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and similar,
- Proficient in English both written and oral.
