Chief Surveyor

We are seeking a visionary, leadership-oriented, and experienced Chief Surveyor to join our team for our upcoming international Superstructure Projects, undertaken by our company, which operates prestigious international construction projects.

General Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics / Surveying Engineering, or Geodesy and Photogrammetry Engineering,
• At least 10 years of experience as a Chief Surveyor / Lead Survey Engineer on large-scale, high-precision international projects (preferablyluxury hotels, high-rise buildings, or major mixed-use developments),
• Good command of written and spoken English,
• Advanced proficiency in using modern surveying instruments (Total Stations, GPS, 3D Laser Scanners, etc.) and geomatics software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Leica Geo Office, etc.),
• Thorough understanding of architectural details, structural axes, facade system installation tolerances, and interior fit-out layout levels,
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and the integration of survey data with digital coordination models,
• Strong skills in team leadership, work planning, budgeting, and site coordination,
• Capability to work under an expat status in international site conditions.

Job Description

• Directing and coordinating all surveying, setting out, layout verification, leveling, and geodetic control network establishment/maintenance across the project,
• Ensuring that structural components (formwork, columns, shear walls) and interior fit-out (wall lines, ceiling heights, luxury decorative features) are executed along accurate axes and levels,
• Performing pre-installation measurements and alignment checks for systems requiring millimeter precision, such as exterior facade cladding (curtain walls, stone cladding, etc.),
• Conducting periodic as-built surveys to verify execution against approved shop drawings, and reporting deviations (deformations) to the design office,
• Calculating, verifying, and reporting earthwork (excavation, backfill, grading) quantities to the Technical Office/hakedis teams,
• Auditing subcontractor survey teams, verifying their work accuracy, and checking the calibration certificates of their equipment,
• Reviewing construction drawings issued by the design office, identifying geometric discrepancies early, and initiating corrections,
• Planning the daily schedules of the surveying team, organizing site operations safely and efficiently.
