To strengthen the Flavour team in Istanbul, Turkey, we are looking for an experienced

Technical Manager Flavours

In this role, you will be responsible for the development of new products to support the account managers’ sales targets, ensuring compliance with customer specifications in the sweet, savoury and beverage categories.

Your main responsibilities:

• Complete assigned projects in sweet, savoury and beverage categories, ensuring all project parameters are adhered to expectations and regulations.
• Manage customer briefs to address business opportunities as outlined in project brief to help converting them to wins with right selections and services.
• Actively participate in the development of strategic relationships and customer intimacy for customers.
• Create new concepts based on trends for proactive presentations.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe laboratory environment. Facilitate lab maintenance, building and environmental safety standards as required for current and future needs.
• Understand current trends and actively research future trends relating to all categories.
• Provide technical expertise in specific areas of applications in different categories by supervising the technical team.
• Maintain knowledge of client’s strategies, brands, and products.
• Keep accurate records of all experiments and maintain files on application data.
• Oversee determination and procurement of all requirements of laboratory and organize/maintain of pureness and care of the used equipment, planning/procurement of the materials.
• Understand new European and Turkish Flavour Regulations.

Your profile:

• University degree with specialization in Food or Chemical Engineering, or Food Chemistry.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in R&D, preferably in ingredient and/or flavour industry with application and selection expertise.
• Good communication skills in Turkish and English; French is an advantage.
• Ability to prioritise, develop, plan and implement short- and long-range projects and goals simultaneously by also supervising the laboratory team.
• Technical expertise and passion about food and beverage applications, formulations, ingredients, flavours and new customer trends.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office tools and ERP systems.
• Self-driven professional with a high sense of team collaboration and business development in challenging market conditions.
