Regional Ethical Analyst

Marks and Spencer Turkey office was established in 2005 and is now responsible for sourcing Menswear, Womenswear, Kidswear, Lingerie and Homeware products for Marks and Spencer UK Headquarter in London Waterside.

The main responsibility of this regional office is to source, develop, plan and manage textile and home production around Turkey, Europe, Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan. Our team which started with 15 employees in 2005 has grown to 80 employees in region at a consistent pace.

Our structure is made up of Merchandising (Clothing, Homeware, Operations), Technology (Quality, Fabric, Garment, Product, Plan A), Ethical Compliance (Ethical Compliance and Auditing), and Supply Chain teams, supported by Human Resources and Finance departments.

 Our office is located in Yesilkoy-Istanbul.

 We are looking for REGIONAL ETHICAL ANALYST for our Ethical Compliance Department.

What is the purpose of the job?

DATA MANAGEMENT:

• Accountable for collating and maintaining accurate ethical data including:

-Sedex and Higg Index databases (including managing and monitoring supplier registration, access and audit upload, and liaising with internal and external personnel as appropriate). 

-Tier 1 factory compliance data and Tier 2 mills data

-Programme KPIs – worker training and impact measurement

-Supplier data for the M&S interactive map

• Work to improve quality, monitoring and visualisation of all ethical data using Power BI. Creating pages, maintaining data and analysing information.

DOCUMENTATION & REPORTING:

• Responsible for updating the monthly factory compliance report for Sourcing Directors
• Maintain working documents eg trackers for training, projects, factory programmes and regional teams visits.

• Provide support for compilation and publication of ethical data and documentation for internal and external reporting, benchmarking reports, Modern Slavery Statement and corporate website.
• Provide above data for PowerPoint presentations for Ethical Trading team.

• Support with maintaining the tracker for supplier capacity building projects.

SOURCING OFFICES LIAISON

• Support and liaise with the regional compliance managers for collation of above data to create consistent reporting documents.

Key skills :

• Ability to collate, manipulate and interpret data from multiple sources (Sedex, Higg Index, PLM, SAP), create informative, accurate management reports to support strategic thinking and present results.
• Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail.

• Power BI expertise is essential.
• Excellent communication skills within UK Ethical team, Supply Base and Global Sourcing Offices, in particular communicating with all regional compliance managers in sourcing offices on compliance data.

• Multi tasked orientated, working to deadlines, understanding when to take decisions and when to seek guidance.
• Awareness of ethical standards and responsible sourcing and human rights and ethics is an advantage.

• Confidence and ability to liaise with multiple office teams.
