Job Purpose

The Digital & Automation Engineer position is to support the site(s) in their Digital & Automationjourney through technical capability to specify, install, maintain & safeguard Industrial Control System (ICS) and associated systems. Further to collaborate with site(s) and regional teams to augment existing automation capabilities, capture future opportunities and create road maps for automation projects that support the business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

·       Provide hands on expertise and technical guidance to the site on the control systems repairs, design changes, and projects because of troubleshooting or performance evaluation.

·       Develop, Update and Maintain sites digital map (network architecture) of the Industrial control system (ICS), this include but not limited to equipment locations, IP / MAC addresses, routes etc.

·       Implement effective backup and recovery measures of the (ICS) software

·       In relation to the Industrial control system update and maintain the site’s business continuity plan

·       Support Site Responsible Engineer / s to maintain (ICS) Spares Inventory.

·       Collaborate with the Regional Digital Deployment teams and Support the site to prepare the prerequisites (hardware / software) for digital initiatives. i.e. Shutdown management, Performance Portal etc. 

·       Work with automation integrators to define & design solutions, obtain project proposal and final vendor selection.

·       Provide support on contracts with control system OEM for online and offline support.

·       Setup/install/Support non-corporate IT equipment e.g. scanners, printers etc.

·       Ensure that the OT cyber security standards and policies are implemented and report compliance

·       Execute periodical Cybersecurity Risk Assessment / Vulnerability Assessments of the Systems

·       Communicate the site-specific cyber security requirements to suppliers and contractors

·       Attend and Lead the ICS awareness training at site

·       Supervise the Threat and Vulnerability identification process

·       Document, and track ICS assets life cycle

·       For the Industrial Control System (PLCs & SCADA) ensure below is up to date and recorded

·       Safety Data Sheets

·       All Safe Operating Limits (SOLs)

·       Control system logic diagrams, loops, and Critical process interlock

·       Assess, identify, and maintain critical equipment in context of ICS

·       Participate in plant HAZOP’s and provide expertise for functional safety.

Experience

·       Bachelor of Science in Electronics, Industrial control or similar.

·       Minimum 5-6 years of relevant work experience

·       Previous experience of factory digital transformation programs

·       Control System maintenance experience in a large, high volume manufacturing facility

·       Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, network architecture, and data collection methodologies

·       Experience in programming/troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Honeywell, ABB etc.

·       Experience in different communication protocols (Profibus, Modbus, serial, ethernet, wireless etc.)

·       Database management (OPC, SQL etc.)

·       Field instrument experience

·       Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships with production employees, peers, and manufacturing management

·       Must be able to work with minimal direct guidance or direction from others

·       Must have experience managing multiple projects and working on and/or leading multi-disciplined teams or workgroups

·       Should be flexible in working hours
