R&D Executive (Product Development)

Reporting to: Product Development Manager

Working Way:  4 days office, 1 day home office after 4 months

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented “R&D Executive (Product Development)” to join our Product Development team at R&D Center. If you have strong mechanical design experience and enjoy leading engineering activities throughout the product lifecycle, we would meet you.

What You Will Do

Mechanical Design & Development

• Lead mechanical design for new and updated products.

• Create and review 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings in SolidWorks.

• Design components suitable for tooling and manufacturability.

• Select materials based on performance, cost, and environmental conditions.

Prototyping, Testing & Verification

• Follow prototype production and support product validation/testing.

• Analyze test results and implement design improvements.

• Verify safety-critical and load-bearing components.

Product Development & Cross-Functional Work

• Contribute to all stages of product development, from concept to mass production.

• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Assembly, and Purchasing to ensure manufacturability.

• Support product improvements, cost reduction, and component standardization.

• Ensure technical and safety compliance before production release.

• Contribute to FMEA and other risk assessment activities. 

Supplier & Project Coordination

• Manage technical communication with suppliers and support externally manufactured components.

• Provide technical leadership in R&D projects and coordinate multidisciplinary activities.

What We Expect 

• Degree in Engineering from a university (Mechanical Engineering is preferred)

• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks, including 3D modeling, complex assemblies, and technical drawing creation with detailed dimensioning and tolerance analysis.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes (sheet metal, casting, plastic injection, etc.)

• Experience in designing components suitable for tooling and manufacturability (DFM).

• Knowledge of lock, hinge, and mechanical accessory product groups is a plus.

• Experience in product development processes and project-based work (preferably with project steering exposure).

• Good understanding of risk analysis and problem-solving techniques (especially FMEA).

• Preferably knowledgeable in IATF 16949 Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, MSA).

• Basic knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards is preferred.
